Abstract:

Neuroinflammation is an inflammatory response that occurs within the nervous system, triggered by various factors, and plays a significant role in various neurodegenerative diseases, neuropsychiatric disorders, and nervous system injuries.Recent studies on neuroinflammation mechanisms have shown that volume-regulated anion channels (VRACs), important components of cell membranes, play a key role in the nervous system's inflammatory response. This paper reviews recent research on VRAC channels in neuroinflammation, focusing on their functions in neurons and glial cells and their interactions with inflammatory factors. We analyze the physiological properties and regulatory mechanisms of VRAC channels and their roles in neurological diseases, offering new insights into neuroinflammation's pathogenesis and suggesting future research directions.
