Thoracoscopic surgery can cause not only severe pain and a series of complications but also prolong the recovery time of patients. Therefore, it is essential to explore and summarize effective postoperative pain treatment which include analgesic techniques, drugs and management strategy. Management of pain from Peking University People's Hospital after thoracoscopic surgery has evolved over more than 30 years in this review, in order to provide a reference for improving the prognosis of patients with postoperative pain after thoracoscopic surgery.
