Abstract: Stellate ganglion block (SGB) With the development of ultrasound guidance technology, its safety, effectiveness and accuracy have been greatly improved, making it more and more widely used in pain, anesthesia therapy, sleep medicine and other aspects, and becoming a clinical treatment for pain diseases and autonomic nervous disorders. Previous studies have found that SGB can reduce sympathetic excitability, relieve sleep disorders, improve cerebral blood flow, regulate endocrine disorders and autonomic nervous disorders, treat insomnia and post-traumatic stress disorder, and inhibit inflammatory response, so its application has attracted wide attention. Postoperative sleep disorders have become the highest incidence of serious postoperative complications, and SGB has been proved to improve postoperative sleep disorders. However, the use of SGB alone still needs to be optimized. At present, there is no review on the application of SGB optimization in postoperative sleep disorders. This review will review the research on SGB in guiding technique, puncture site, puncture time, use of drugs, and combination with other methods, so as to provide reference for the optimization of SGB and its treatment of postoperative sleep disorders.
