Abstract: Clavicle surgery is a common type of surgery in the operating room. Either general anesthesia or nerve blocking anesthesia can be used to meet the anesthesia requirement of the operation. Clavipectoral fascial plane block (CPB) is a new block technique for clavicle region surgery. This technique is easy to perform, with clear anesthesia/analgesia effect. Since it avoids phrenic nerve paralysis and upper limb motor function block, it is especially suitable for patients who suffer impaired cardiopulmonary function or bilateral clavicle fracture. This review summarizes the innervation of the clavicle, common anesthesia methods for clavicle surgery, and the operation steps, block mechanism, clinical application and current shortcomings of CPB to provide a reference for clinical application.
