摘要:

三甲胺N‑氧化物(TMAO)是一种常见的肠道菌群代谢产物,血浆TMAO水平与中枢认知障碍相关疾病有着较强的相关性,在阿尔茨海默病、帕金森病、老年相关性痴呆、围手术期神经认知障碍等多种疾病中均有升高的趋势,可以作为认知障碍相关疾病的预测因子。文章综述了既往关于TMAO与认知障碍相关疾病的临床研究与基础研究,概括了TMAO在其中发挥作用的可能机制,以期为认知障碍相关疾病的防治提供新的思路与参考。

Abstract:

Trimethylamine N‑oxide (TMAO) is a metabolite commonly produced by intestinal flora. Elevated levels of TMAO in plasma have been strongly associated with central cognitive impairment‑related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, age‑related cognitive decline, and perioperative neurocognitive disorders. TMAO has shown potential as a predictive marker for cognitive impairment‑related diseases. This review aims to summarize previous clinical and basic research on TMAO and its connection to cognitive impairment‑related diseases. Additionally, it will explore the potential mechanisms through which TMAO influences these diseases, offering new insights and references for the prevention and treatment of cognitive impairment‑related diseases.
