The treatment of paclitaxel‑induced neuropathic pain has been a research hotspot. Also, some progress has been made in the field of targeted therapy. In this article, we introduced paclitaxel, summarized the receptors or pathways that involved in paclitaxel‑induced neuropathic pain, the characteristics of neuropathic pain that induced by paclitaxel, targeted treatment methods of paclitaxel‑induced neuropathic pain and the progress of other treatment methods. By reviewing the targeted treatment methods of paclitaxel‑induced neuropathic pain, we proposed and predicted other possible treatment methods in the future, explored the effective treatment methods of paclitaxel‑induced neuropathic pain and provided possible basis for clinical treatment.
