Background Refractory hypotension is one of the common serious complications in sepsis , and it can lead to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome if blood pressure is not recovered in time. The reasons of refractory hypotension are manifold. Objective To understand the relevant mechanisms on blood pressure regulation and improve the clinical therapy of refractory hypotension in sepsis. Content The relevant mechanisms on blood pressure regulation in sepsis are discussed. Trend With the development of research on blood pressure regulation, new therapeutic targets will be used for the treatment of refractory hypotension.
